Homework is an important piece of the school experience, although maybe not always the most pleasant one! Some children are able to take in information very quickly, while others need to review, and practice...and perhaps even drill, rewrite, reread, over & over again! I do not want homework to be the cause for misery, so please let me know if anything sent home takes more than 30 minutes for your child to complete(with help, if needed). One thing I have already spoken about with Grade 2 is the importance of daily reading. Being a strong, capable reader will help improve academic performance in all subject areas. This is why the first thing written in their agenda books every school day-for the entire year-will be 1. READ for At Least 30 minutes...and I've told them that a longer time is even better if possible!
💥💥We've also added a nightly math story/question through bedtimemath.org
*****With our Bridges Math program, there are 3 different student workbooks, where homework may be pulled from. I'll put "HC" after the page numbers if it's from the HOME CONNECTIONS book, "NC" if the work is from the NUMBER CORNERS book, and "B" when it's from the BRIDGES workbook. *****

***Students can continue to work on their Bridges math packets this weekend-they are due to be turned in completely finished on Tuesday, March 17, 2020!
On Fridays(or whatever the last school day is for the week), any unfinished daily work from the week will become "weekend homework"...some weeks there may be an additional assignment or project.
I am hoping that students take time each weekend to do some extra reading, as well.
⭐️⭐️⭐️Remember that Reading Logs are due back at school to be checked every FRIDAY(or the last day of school for the week)-prizes given when both sides of the Reading Log are filled!
New ones can be picked up by students whenever necessary⭐️⭐️⭐️
